Takeoff and Climb

Plan takeoff path away from noise-sensitive areas. Climb to cruise altitude at the best rate of climb airspeed 60-62 kts. Use the maximum power for takeoff.

The MD500N is quieter on the right side than on the left.

The MD500D/E is quieter on the right side than on the left, when equipped with a four-bladed tail rotor. If the MD50OD/E has a two-bladed tail rotor, noise exposure is the same to either side
